The peninsula of Vasilikos is on the southwest side of the island and is one of the most beautiful areas, with lush vegetation, beaches and wonderful views of the Peloponnese, especially during the sunset.The village Vasilikos is small and sparsely populated and is 15 km away from the capital. At the bottom of the peninsula there is the most beautiful beach,which is called Gerakas and it is well sheltered from the winds, and has shallow blue water.
